Tetherfall

Video 13+ Ongoing 4 episodes

Forty years after the space elevator above Port Anselm snapped, its fallen ribbon is the only road across desert, salt and sea, and line-runners race sail-sleds along its back. In the roar of a dust storm, seventeen-year-old Mara Quell lays her palm on the ribbon and hears a voice in the hum. It says the lost station is still up there, and that it is still counting.

Night on the Long Shallows, sleds pulled up beside the pontoons. The voice gives itself a name and, in fragments, tells Mara what it has been counting and what it needs. Warden Kaan arrives with a warning of her own.

    Upward

With Warden Kaan's patrol on their tail, Mara and Dov race east across the salt to Port Anselm and the Stump, the last two kilometres of the elevator still standing. The season one finale climbs as high as the Line goes.
