Community guidelines

Last updated 18 October 2026

Frameleaf is a place for creative work made with AI. These guidelines apply to everything you post: works, series, thumbnails, titles, descriptions, AI disclosures, comments, usernames and channel profiles. They apply whatever a work's rating, and whether it is public, unlisted or private.

Breaking them can lead to your content being removed and your account being suspended. The terms of service make these guidelines part of your agreement with us.

No sexual content involving minors

We have zero tolerance for content that sexualises or endangers children. We remove it immediately, the account that posted it is permanently suspended, and we report it to the relevant authorities. This covers:

  • AI-generated, drawn, animated and written depictions, not just photos and video
  • characters who appear to be under 18, whatever age the story gives them. Calling a character "aged-up" or "centuries old" doesn't change how they are depicted
  • sexualised poses, clothing or framing of a child or childlike character, even without nudity
  • comments that sexualise minors or try to contact them for sexual purposes

No intimate imagery or deepfakes of real people without consent

Real people have a right to control how they are shown.

  • No non-consensual intimate imagery, real or AI-generated.
  • No sexualised depictions of real people at all, whether they are famous or not, and whatever the disclaimer.
  • No realistic depictions of a real person saying or doing things they didn't. The exception is clear satire or commentary about a public figure that is labelled as such in the title or description.
  • Never depict a private individual, such as a classmate, colleague or ex, without their consent.

Non-consensual intimate imagery is removed immediately and the account that posted it is permanently suspended.

A cartoon of a politician, labelled as satire, is fine. A realistic video of a celebrity endorsing a product, or of someone you know, is not.

No sexually explicit content

Pornography isn't allowed on Frameleaf, even when a work is rated Mature (18+). The Mature rating covers violence, strong language, horror, adult themes and non-explicit nudity in an artistic context. It does not cover:

  • depictions of sexual acts
  • explicit nudity focused on sexual arousal
  • fetish content made for sexual gratification

A figure study in the style of a classical painting, or a romance that fades to black, can be rated Mature. Anything more explicit can't be posted.

No harassment, bullying, threats or hate

Criticise the work, not the person. Don't post content or comments that:

  • attack or dehumanise people because of their race, ethnicity, nationality, religion or belief, disability, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation or age
  • threaten anyone with violence or harm
  • target a private individual to mock, shame or humiliate them
  • share someone's private information, such as a home address, phone number or workplace (doxxing)
  • encourage others to pile on or harass someone

No glorifying real-world violence, terrorism or self-harm

Dark and violent fiction is welcome with the right rating: war stories, horror comics, crime thrillers. What isn't allowed is content that promotes real harm, such as:

  • praising or promoting real terrorist attacks, mass killings or violent extremist groups
  • real footage of violence posted to shock or celebrate
  • encouraging or giving instructions for self-harm, suicide or eating disorders

A story that deals with self-harm seriously, without instructions or encouragement, can be posted with an appropriate rating.

Respect copyright and trademarks

Only upload what you have the rights to. Using an AI tool doesn't change who owns a character, a clip or a song. Don't upload clips from films, TV or games, commercial music you haven't licensed, or another creator's work without permission. Fan work may be removed if the rights holder sends a valid complaint. Read about copyright and takedowns.

Disclose AI use honestly

Every work has an AI disclosure and made-with tool tags. Say how AI was used and tag the tools you used. Don't claim AI wasn't used when it was, take credit for what a tool did, tag tools you didn't use, or pass off someone else's work as your own. Read how to write a good disclosure.

Rate your work honestly

Choose the rating that fits the most intense moment in the work. Anything with graphic violence, strong language or adult themes must be rated Mature (18+). Keep thumbnails, titles and descriptions within the rating, because they appear wherever the work is listed. We may re-rate work that is rated too low. Read about content ratings.

No spam, scams, manipulation or impersonation

  • No misleading titles, thumbnails, genres or tags.
  • No buying, faking or automating views, ratings or follows.
  • No repetitive or mass-posted works or comments.
  • No links to scams, phishing or malware.
  • No pretending to be another creator, a brand, a real person or Frameleaf, including with lookalike usernames or avatars.

Keep it legal

Don't post content or use Frameleaf in a way that breaks the law in the United Kingdom or where you live. That includes promoting fraud, selling illegal goods or services, and encouraging others to commit crimes.

How we enforce

  • Removal. We remove content that breaks these guidelines. If it's yours, you see a notice with the reason. Everyone else sees a "not found" page.
  • Re-rating. If a work is rated too low, we may change its rating instead of removing it.
  • Warning. A breach usually comes with a warning on your account.
  • Suspension. A second warning suspends your account. When a creator is suspended, their works drop out of listings.
  • Permanent suspension. Severe violations, such as sexual content involving minors or non-consensual intimate imagery, mean the content is removed and the account is permanently suspended, with no warning. Child sexual abuse material is reported to the relevant authorities.

We look at context: what the work is, how it is labelled and who it affects. Fiction can explore dark subjects. The same image posted to target a real person isn't fiction, whatever its rating.

When we remove your work, warn you or suspend your account, we tell you by email and with a notification here, with the reason. A warning or suspension also shows as a notice at the top of every page while it stands. If you think we got it wrong, you can appeal: use the Appeal link in the email, the notification or the notice, or open an appeal from your account. A member of our moderation team reviews every appeal, and we'll tell you the outcome. A removed work is kept for 90 days so it can be restored if your appeal succeeds.

If you reported something, we'll tell you whether we took action or found no breach. For privacy, we never share what happened to another account.

How to report

Every work, series, comment and channel has a Report option. Choose the reason that fits best:

  • Sexualises or endangers minors
  • Depicts a real person without consent
  • Harassment or bullying
  • Hate speech
  • Violent or graphic content
  • Copyright or trademark infringement
  • Misleading or impersonation
  • Spam
  • Something else

Please report honestly. Using reports to target a creator you disagree with is itself a breach of these guidelines.

Reports go to our moderation team. Reports about minors and about real people depicted without consent are reviewed first. We don't tell the person you reported who reported them.

For urgent child-safety concerns, also email safety@frameleaf.co.uk. If someone is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services (999 in the UK).
