The Lantern Ferry
In the canal city of Seiran, a lit paper lantern appears at the window of everyone who dies, and once a year the Ferry Guild rows them all out to the Markers to go out on the tide. At her first Low Tide as an apprentice, Hana Mori sees one lantern refuse to go. A gentle, three-episode story about letting go, told in lamplight and fog.
